Certification Process
If you think you are interested in becoming a certified Instructor of Cued Speech, make sure you feel comfortable with the pre-requisites below. Consider joining our mailing list, so that you will be automatically notified of upcoming certification events and other information relevant to the certification process. You may also wish to familiarize yourself with certification requirements, described in the next section.

    The NCSA is committed to establishing training and certification procedures that are accessible to anyone interested in seeking certification, whether hearing or deaf. Read more
  • Join our mailing list
    The NCSA Instructor Certification committee maintains an email list for certified Instructors of CS and those interested in
    seeking certification. Notifications of upcoming events and other information relevant to the certification process are sent to this list. Send email to InsCert-subscribe@yahoogroups.com to subscribe.

Certification Services
  • Host a Workshop/Exam
    In order to make the Instructor Certification Process more convenient for those who don’t live near the location of previously scheduled certification events, an individual or organization can also arrange to host events in a location of their choosing. Read more
  • Become a Trainer
    The Instructor Trainer Mentorship Program, offered by the NCSA InsCert committee, is designed to help participants learn how to provide NCSA-approved Instructor Training to cuers interested in becoming certified instructors. Participants will also learn how to proctor the National Certification Exam. Read more
